About Us
For us, above all else is to make tennis and sport fun. Our players have experienced fun and joy in tennis at the early stages of their development, and that fun was nurtured and given importance, so the errors and losses that come in the sport are normal for them, and they are not afraid to fail.
As a result of having fun, our players stay in, seek mastery and perform at their personal best levels.

(re) Define Success
We exist for players to (re)define success on their own terms. We trust that our passion and love could also help players transform their perception of competition and life. Moreover, through LOVE, one can achieve true happiness, which is why we applied this principle to all tennis training and mental coaching sessions.
Tennis As a Tool For Unity
Focus on the inner side of the game creates less tension and happier player on and off the court. We are all one Team, players, parents, coaches, physios, managers… We all thrive in creating a joyful environment. We believe that anything worth doing is worth doing with LOVE.

FAQ
Answered by Pepe Imaz
What makes your academy different to other academies?
I prefer not to speak about other academies. All I can say is that we adapt the training to suit the individual, not the other way round. Each player receives personalized attention to all aspects of their tennis, and we take in to account the emotions with great importance. We try create a healthy environment and atmosphere in the group, so that all players and coaches feel like a family. This optimises the development of the players.
Can you explain the mental or emotional training you do with the players?
We share with the players the importance of a good inner conversation with themselves. Often people aren’t aware of the conversations they have with themselves through out the day. Once they become aware of this then they can begin to observe the negative thoughts they may have which could be hindering their growth in their tennis. Our aim is the help them speak to themselves like their own friend instead of enemy. Once this begins there’s an amazing change in the person and the player, but this is an invisible difficult work.
Why did you start teaching tennis?
I enjoy sharing the knowledge of this way of training and playing. It helped me greatly in my tennis and my life, I feel that it can be of value to others as well.
What means success for you?
For me, the meaning of “success” would be to describe a person who has installed the most happiness in their life. To my understanding “social or material success”, for example being rich and famous does not necessarily bring happiness, at least not real happiness, maybe euphoria or an adrenalin rush for a short time but not real happiness.
Speaking from experience, for many years I have worked with all “types” of people; sportsmen, celebrities, rich people, poor people, people with “social success” and without “social success” and the conclusion is always the same. Those who we deem to have “social success” are in fact living their lives with more stress, depression, fear and suffering than normal.
The people we are made to believe are the happiest people in the world it turns out are not, in my opinion. Therefore I understand it that “social success” does not bring happiness. And to summarise success=happiness
How did you come up with this way of training and playing tennis?
I came up with this way of training and playing myself, through reading self help books and absorbing any information regarding psychology I could. I suffered immensely as a junior and professional player, punished myself a lot and always spoke badly to myself. It came to a point where I had to change as I was in so much emotional pain and yet my coaches couldn’t understand me. Through this inner work, I began to understand myself, I felt better and played better tennis too. There are many pitfalls in professional tennis and the journey can be very painful.
How does treating the person help the player?
A person or human being is made up of a physical body, emotions, feelings, thoughts and an energy body, that which powers the physical body so that your heart beats etc. A tennis player is first of all a human being. To only focus on the tennis player and not the person in our opinion creates a lot of imbalance. The same way if I’m in the gym and I only do weights on my arms and not on my legs it creates a lot of imbalance.
In terms of tennis if I have the best shots but I don’t have the right emotions or mentality to go with them then no matter how much I train, the growth in my tennis will always be limited. In my opinion, training all aspects of tennis and the person helps the player arrive to their potential in a much more organic way and with a lot less stress.
How important is it the connection between coaches and players?
It is vital that the players and coaches have a good relationship. In my opinion it is of great importance that the coaches have empathy and understanding for what the players go through on a day to day basis, both on and off the court, this gives them the ability to connect and communicate with them well.
Players feel listened to and supported and this creates a warm, healthy relationship between them.
Do you adapt your training for Junior players?
We give a lot of freedom to the junior players and kids to express themselves through their tennis. As coaches we offer respect to their personalities, to the abilities of each one and to support them in the process in their individual learning.
Kids and junior players bring a lot of energy, happiness and joy with them naturally. We use this amazing energy to power each practice, so that they play in an environment that helps them in their development as players and as people.
Mastering our Mental domain
More and more often, professional players understand the importance and need to be in harmony to develop their potential; not only does it help them, but it does so with a lot less stress.
